Studies - University Speyer

The German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer, funded by both the Federation (Bund) and the federal states (Länder), is the centre of competence in administrative sciences in Germany. Based on a range of varied methodologies, it is dedicated to the study of public administration from the municipal level to the global scale, as well as relations between the private and public sectors. It maintains a strategic partnership with the German Institute for Research in Public Administration, which is located on the campus. The main features of the German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer are its scientific approach and application, an interdisciplinary perspective and the close linking of teaching, research and training.
These characteristics are the fundamental basis of the university. With 18 chairs dedicated to different legal, administrative, economic, social, political and historical disciplines, the German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer is the most important institution in this field in Germany. With its tradition of training, it is central to the renewal of administrative practices which continually enriches research and teaching. About 100 senior civil servants, judges and executives from the government administration and the private sector ensure the transfer of knowledge and know-how about administration.
