The IT service department is not just a data centre hosting the central IT, including servers and the network infrastructure, but also the single point of contact for all queries around information and communication technologies (with the notable exception that the central telephone system is operated by a dedicated department).
As participants of the eduroam cooperation, a secure world-wide roaming access service for the international research and education community, our wireless network (covering the entire campus) provides wifi access to DUV staff and visitors (of participating institutions). Generally, if your personal eduroam setup worked at your home institution or at another participating place, it should be straightforward to connect here as well. The recommendation is therefore to prepare and test your system at home as the login particularities are mostly dependant on the setup chosen by your home IT department.
Opening hours for general IT issues (laptops, wifi, software):
Mondays - Fridays: 9-11am, 2-3pm
In urgent cases you can come by outside these opening hours as well.
